Speaking of Westerns and money, not monied Westerners (like Howard Hughes), one of my favorite movie scenes is from Blazing Saddles. In order to deceive the oncoming bandits, the villagers built a "Potemkin" village in the middle of nowhere to be sacked and pillaged. They were a little bit behind in fine-tuning the realistic effects that would do the job. So, they had to buy some time. Someone came up with the brilliant idea of a tollbooth. When the head bandit, with his charges approached, and discovered this, he sent back one of his associates to get "A shiiiiitfull of dimes".
By the way, I started to watch Blazing Saddles on TNT a couple weekends ago. Unfortunately, it's so unPC about 75% of the dialog was cut! If they'd only put in some heavy breathing, or something.
