That's what I just did two minutes ago. Basically, after selecting it, it doesn't say anything. It does show it in the Monitor type but it doesn't ask to reboot. When entering into Display Properties again, it is still the same. I then reselected my monitor type and that also didn't change anything. Something is locking up that mode. It must be related to the driver itself. I have a builtin VGA on board which is Intel 82815. I downloaded the latest version and the installation went ok. I reinstalled it several times. The installation always goes well. But, it doesn't show 1024 mode.
