>At one time I was running win2K with the 85815 onboard chipset and I was able to use 1024 resolution. I had my system set to my actual monitor type and not Plug and Play. Since then I have moved to a graphics card, but I would say the problem does lie in your monitor type rather then the display drivers. What type of monitor are you using? Do you have the latest "drivers" for it as well?
After the Win2k install, it changes to Plug and Play. Then, as per Ed's suggestion, I rapidly found that this is not what I had before. So, I got the latest driver from Nec for the monitor I am using. I installed it. That didn't change anything. I then tried Standard VGA 1024. That didn't change anything as well. I now switched again to the Nec monitor setting. Any other idea?
