I'm with Sergey about rebooting. I never trust anything screwy without rebooting first. I'm done for the night here at work so I have just one last suggestion in tune with this. Unintsall your monitor drivers. Uninstall your video drivers. Reboot, when prompted for mintor type choose Plug and Play for the monitor. When prompted for the video card drivers choose Standard VGA (if this is available; otherwise juct choose the windows 2000 driver for the Intel 85815). Do a full reboot. After you have rebooted proceed to install the new monitor drivers and the latest Intel 85815 drivers. Do another full reboot. Then try and change your settings and see if it works. Sometimes the only way to be sure is to strip it off completely and then restart from scratch.
