Providers for SQL Server, Oracle, etc. can be downloaded in the MDAC; Jet providers can be downloaded as well. These don't require the purchase of either SQL Server or Access. Why is VFP different?
I was under the impression the VFP OLE DB provider was going to make it easier and more attractive for other languages or clients to use VFP data. Wouldn't it make sense to have it freely downloadable? Stephan's original request seems like a perfect example of someone who could use this.
