>My problem is that I need to print to a printer linking to another computer. The command SET PRINTER TO NAME "printer_name" works fine for me for local printers. It doesn't work for printers which belong to another computer. The following command is simply invalid - SET PRINTER TO NAME "\\computer_name\printer_name"!
> In my situation I got 2 computers(A & B) joined by parallel ports. Each computer got its own printer. Computer A is the main computer containing the program. The program is running both from computer A and computer B and got their private datasession. I need to make printout from the printer linked to computer A ONLY no matter which computer I am using. The version of VFP is 6.0

Hi Harry,
Please quote my relies to you otherwise it's hard to follow.
My understanding was, that Computer B can see a printer on Computer A. In this case you can add printer A to the list of printers on B thru Computer's B Control Panel -> Printers -> Add Printer. After that you could use SET PRINTER TO NAME
.
