I think there is some confusion with the newsgroups that are referenced there. VFP was originally in VS .Net and available in Beta 1. It was pulled after that due to requests from the VFP Community.

There are currently no plans for VFP to be a CLR language.

VFP would lost things that makes it VFP. It would lose native data handling and other things. Essentially, it would be like VB .Net.

VFP would be like any other language. Once you get to the MSIL, there is really no difference between one language and another. JVP gave you some good information on how VFP works with .Net.
