>But then I started wondering about Visual Studio.Net and InterDev. It seems to me that maybe VS is probably a better tool for building non VFP COM objects and non VFP server side scripting. But since I will build VFP COM objects and use VFP and SQL for datastores, do I really gain any benefit from VS.Net?
Using ASP.NET to create web apps gives you lots of advantages, it makes Web development more similar to traditional apps with server side controls, a nifty IDE and GUI editor, and reusable HTML controls.
But if you're doing mostly VFP stuff, check out ASP.NET for VFP, thats the Voodoo web controls. Using Voodoo you can serve pages from any server, ASP, WWWC, ect.
