Right. Another usual reason is a very slow network. But I saw it so many times just because the user had too many windows on screen, too many apps opened, slow printing, etc. :) It's really fun to find out what the users are doing when nobody sees them (sometimes it's enough to promise them that you'll tell nobody if they tell you the truth... :)).
