Hi Ken.
>>Microsoft has no plans to release a trial version of developer tool products.
Ken, but with VS.NET, people is quite happy to being using for a long time the Beta´s version, and now, Release Candidate... How people will can to "try before buy" VFP?? Did you get the big problem?
>>As for the comment about Microsoft being satisified with actual number of VFP users, that is a completely incorrect statement. Please email me directly at
klevy@microsoft.com with the name of the person from Microsoft who stated that so I can make sure they are corrected.
Ken, in those earliers three emails I sent you with the VFP situation at Brazil, you already has the name, email, and position of the person I´m used to talk at Microsoft Brazil. He really has that knowledge, and I think you really need to explain to him "what´s the big deal".
>> Microsoft is interested in new customers for VFP 7.0, and that comes directly from upper management, specifically senior vice president Eric Rudder.
Ken, and how´s the plan to catch new customers?? It´s like buy a completely new expensive car, without the right to make a "test-drive". You´re forced to like the car...
>> For more information about Eric and a recent interview online with him, refer to Message #
598703 just posted by Bill Andreson today which links you to
http://www.nwfusion.com/power01/50most/rudder.html.
I´ve read that link as soon as Bill posted: Very nice interview.
Ken, thanks for your attention with the community.
My reunion at Microsoft was really nice, and I still didn´t have time to gather all that was discussed, translate it, and send it to you... anyway, I don´t know if you have time to read it...
thanks.
