Well, it is dificult to try to guess what is going on here without actually seeing some code, but let's try some of the obvious.

You say that you are doing you editing in a popup form. Is the popup form a modal form that has its datasession set as 1-default? This is the easiest way to do this sort of thing becuase the popup form then "shares" the datasession of the calling form. If the popup form has a private datasession, the calling form would not automatically "see" any changes made in it.
