thank you very much. this post was created because someone emailed me wondering why vfp seems to be a neglected child. i replied to him that even if i was just a novice vfp, instinct tells me this is the choice and what we would stand for here. i will direct him accordingly to the KB article.

i am close to finishing our kludgy but working app here with no more screams for help. but that is not the challenge, which is making the best use of pre-defined methods and using objects with vfp.
