Fernando;

"Out of the box" is important!

"Perception" (from Craig's post) may be the correct term but I think a comparison of marketing strategy of FoxPro since Microsoft bought the product and released version DOS/Win 2.5 through VFP version 6.0 compared to VFP 7.0 is important. With Ken Levy on board much has already happened to “get the word out” about VFP. To me this means a commitment from Microsoft to market the product in a positive and professional manner.

So I think we need the marketing strategy of today and the history of how the product was marketed. Something else that is occurring is “the education” of Microsoft personal on the value and use of Visual FoxPro. A "perception" from the public is that a person that represents a company and speaks well of a product made by his/her company and is knowledgeable on company products is “marketing” that product. That same person speaking in negative terms will not help sell that product.

I would hate to count the number of times I have gone to a Microsoft event and Visual FoxPro was not mentioned or mentioned in negative terms. This has not happened in recent months and I find this to be a refreshing change!

>I ask you, please, to help reasoning if you think they should or should not be included (are they part of the history?), because they deal with some of FoxPro's crossroads. Besides being very controversial (as I can see they still are) there were many people discussing each subject at that time (both are posted in Fox.Wikis and have many related pages linked to each one):
