No, I think the way you did it was fine. The trouble was more of my trying to control not looking more than anything else. I have this habit when I'm on the last couple pages of a chapter of a book to glance at the last sentence. I don't actually read it, but for some reasone the reflex is there. Probably an OCD thing...
