I often have more comments than code in my methods. But I hate to see commented out code. IMHO, if the code doesn't work, it should be deleted.

I will typically comment out code when I'm fixing a bug, just in case I screw it up so bad that I want to go back to the original and start over again. It's always my intention to then go back and get rid of all that commented code once I've got the bug fixed and everything's working fine. But ... sometimes I forget to do it. <g>
