My thanks to Marcia for leading me in the right direction. My apologies for incorrect spelling of the name.

I am working accessing and updating various data sources (VFP, SQL Server, Access and Oracle) using remote views - cursorsetprop("buffering",5). When the user makes any change in a grid or form, I do record level validation, check for critical record changes, do tableupdate() to update each row, resolve any update conflicts, and log critical record changes to a log file identifying what changes were made with date, time and who made them. Very tedious!!

Good catch on the unable to exit if record is invalid. I will include a button to do tablerevert(.f.) to revert changes and allow exit.
