Most Fox C5s under W2K are caused by hardware driver issues - usually video or printer drivers. Dell's machines usually come pretty well set up but I would still go out to their support site and see if later drivers are available.

Just a SWAG, but have you tried running the VFPClean app in the VFP7 installation folder?
Also, how are you logging the C5 errors? AFAIK these are OS level errors and can't be trapped by VFP. Are you running any sort of so-called "crash-proofing" utility?
