I have almost all of the program working except inserting the data into a field.

It makes the connection, opens the data table, adds a record but the following command gets a "Function argument value, type or value is invalid". "Action" is defined in ACCESS as a text field - size 50. Without that command the program also apears to "update", close and disconnect OK. Any suggestions and can you recommend any books on ADO. This is my first experience with it and it look very interesting. Not too different than VBA. TIA.
