Hi Dorris,
No sarcasm here; I've also got an old S'87 app still chugging along. If I remember correctly there were problems with Clipper rebuilding indexes if the system had expanded memory. Try changing the shortcut properties to disable EMS. Also if EMM386 is loading in the CONFIG.SYS add the NOEMS parameter to shut off expanded memory.

>We've got an old 'off the shelf' system that is being replaced by PeopleSoft's HR module. We want to be able to keep the legacy system running and available for the historical data, but are running into a problem doing any type of maintenance function (rebuild indices, etc) on a Win 9x or greater OS. Generally, we get a 'memory inconsistancy' error. Any suggestions, hints, sarcastic remarks? Any response will be appreciated, but only if the sarcasm is REAL good :)
