I have been experiencing this problem too and got it solved on our local machine like this:

To fix:

Library File \gswvfp5.fll is invalid

on Windows 98, obtain a copy of MSVCRT.DLL from the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory of a Windows 98 computer that does not have the problem. Copy it to any directory on the windows drive except \WINDOWS\SYSTEM. Reboot in DOS mode and overwrite \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSVCRT.DLL. Type EXIT to restart Windows.
