1. There were no path settings in the AutoExec.BAT file. All paths are set in the application via data stored in a DB. We thought it might be something like that at first, maybe a space in the path or something like that, but that's not the case. As far as the path on the install disks, they are good, or the last attempt would not have worked.

2. I'm not sure about the temporary files. Would that change just because I upgraded the machine to W98?

3. We looked as best we could to make sure everything was the same and it seemed to be (but I probably missed something).

Is there something in either W98 or the LAN that tells it not to execute DOS commands in an app?
