Hi Bill,

What do you want if Microsoft doesn't know what the Visual FoxPro name is. It shows as 'Visual Fox Pro' at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com/support/mvp/mvpaward.asp ?

>Visual FoxPro got a passing reference in the latest Network World (December 24 - 31, 2001) titled "Microsoft's .Net Apostle", by John Fontana. The article can also be found online at http://www.nwfusion.com/power01/50most/rudder.html.
>
>The article is about Eric Rudder (architect of Visual FoxPro) and his new project, Visual Studio.Net. The VFP quotes are:
>
>"Eric understands developers deeply," says Dave Mendlen, lead product manager of Visual Studio.Net. "He was a key guy in building FoxPro and, more important, in creating an incredibly rabid community of [FoxPro] developers. To this day we don't have another customer base that is as passionate about their tool as the community that Eric fostered."
>
>Rudder, one of 27 executives on Gates' Business Leadership Team, says he aims to engender that same passion among .Net developers, especially users of Visual Studio.Net, a product he helped create and regards as one of his major accomplishments. "One of the keys with FoxPro was communication with the developers. We really knew our customers," he says.
>
>Analysis: Nice to see some pub for Eric Rudder as well as VFP and the community. It annoys me, though, that VFP is consistently referred as "FoxPro" ("He started out running product teams, working on networking, Windows for Workgroups, FoxPro, Visual Basic and Visual Basic Script.") and not VFP or Visual FoxPro.
