I've seen this with bad NICs, cabling, and outdated drivers.

>I have a client running and accounting package written and compiled in VFP 6.0. They are constantly having problems with data corruption. This is not the usual header corruption I am used to. These files are getting strange characters inserted throughout the tables. When these characters are inserted it shifts all the data for all the fields, for the record affected. Its pretty nasty because products like FoxFix do not detect the corruption. The only ways I have found to locate the problem and fix it is the browse through all the tables and delete any affected records. They are using a Novell 3.12 network with Windows 98 workstations. Any one know what the cause of the data corruption might be? How can it be detected? How can it be corrected?
