It is a windows-based compression library that provides an .OCX that (unlike most .OCXs, I hear) was actually tested in VFP. No more DOS windows, no more RUN command. There have been a couple of threads about it recently. One or two people here mentioned problems with installation. Their tech support is pretty good, giving vfp-knowledgable replies to e-mail (in my experience) in a day or two. The only problem I had is the large amount of memory which the zip and unzip .OCXs seem to require when they are instantiated. I solved that problem by instantiating each one only when I needed it.
For more info, check out
www.innermedia.com. They oughta give me a commission :-).
I think that EllTech makes something similar called Compression Plus, for $250. I seem to remember someone here saying that they are not so helpful to vfp users.
