The code below works for me just fine, except I set lcfile to a file that actually resides on my system. Also, I didn't make any modifications to the downloaded programs *smile*
Have you tried this from within VFP? You don't get any errors? And it doesn't work for any file on your system? hmmm...
I don't remember if you provided this information already: What version of VFP are you using (w/service pack)? What OS are you on?
