Hmmm - that sounds like fun. I'd certainly be willing to do some sort of write-up on what I discover. Don't hold your breath though - the way things seem to be going lately, we'll probably be on Quickbooks 2004 before coding starts. You see, this is for an in-house app, not for one of our clients, thus it's not revenue generating, at least initially. We do have some wonderful ideas, for example, our primary vendor offers an XLM service for price and stock information, so we intend to tap into that. We use Quickbooks as our accounting system, thus the need for that interface. Rest assured, we are closely documenting the whle development process, and if there is interest in the community an article will be forthcoming. Quite a big bite to chew off for our one database programmer (me), but I have help in other areas. Stay tuned, the possibilities of what this app can be have me more excited than any programming project I have ever worked on. ANd I might even learn a few new technologies along the way.

Oh - the original topic - you CAN still pay for the privilege of developing for Quickbooks, I noticed that elsewhere on the Intuit site. $1000US per year gets you the SDK and support help.

>Thanks for the heads-up. Last time we looked you had to pay for the privilege of developing interfaces for Quicken 2001, looks as if they canned that stupid idea.

>Could you also keep us informed about how you progress with the interface? Maybe an article in the UT magazine?!
