It appears to work.....
I did this:

IF LASTKEY()=ASC('-')
thisform.Caption=thisform.Caption+"-"
ENDIF

But, this works equally well

case nKeyCode=45
thisform.Caption=thisform.Caption+"-"

Are you aware of any advantage of one over the other?
