Current and previous versions of Quickbooks/Quicken use IIF files to import/export data. IIF is Intuit Interchange File, it's a tab-delimited text file. Future versions will use XML which is supported by the new QB SDK.

You might try to search the QB site for IIF and see if the documentation is still on-line. The doc's are not too clear, so it's kind of hit-and-miss to get it to finally work. Also, you can export the data from QB and use spreadsheet or text editor to see the file format.
