I have a VFP 6.0 SP3 Application that I use InstallShield to create setup files. On a new install it always installs my APP.exe file properly in the proper root directory.

However when I create an Update build with the Installshield, when it runs the setup process it skips over my APP.exe that is inside the CAB file and that is definitely in the build and leaves the old version setting there and in place.

Why is this occurring? On the new install I create a PM item and on the Upgrade I do not. This is the only difference I can see between these two builds. The APP.Exe file on the target is not Read Only and no virus checkers are running to interfere with this process.

Users get frustrated thinking they have upgraded their software, only to find the old EXE is still setting there.

Any help with why this happens would be appreciated.
