Sorry I don't have an answer right now, I'll need to play with it a little more when I have the time (probably tonight, this is an intriguing problem), but I seem to remember problems with COM objects using SET DEFAULT and/or SET PATH. ANyone remeber anything more specific?

You might wanna play around with alternatives to those commands (like opening up the database and useing database!table or storing the DataDir path in a property).
