Vladimr,
I don't know. I also use extensively private data sessions and all SQLexec cursors are buffered. Observing buffering 5 is normal since you can set it to any type of buffering.
In your friends project just test to change a field value and check value on backend. Does it change as he moves off the field but not row ?
