You must have selected floppy booting as the boot option. The boot floopy is usually for emergency recovery booting when the HD lilo has been corrupted. In four years I've never used one.

The LIuxLOader (LILO) is configured with the text file /etc/lilo.conf. When you have it configured properly you can run 'lilo', an executable, which installs the Linux loader on the HD. When you reboot a grpahical menu will display allowing for several options, the main one being to boot your Linux system.

Log out of your user account and into root, then run KDE, if it is not already running, then the YaST2 control panel. From there locate the LILO install options and point and click your way to a lilo install.
