Hi All,

I have an application that selects a data subest and, if the user chooses, sets up the data in a Word mailmerge document so they just need to print. However if the users machine does not have Word I want to disable the Labels option.

The only way I've come up with to check for an instance of Word is trying to create an instance of Word and disable the Labels option in the error handler if it fails. The problem is I have a long pause when the form loads as it tries to create the object.

Is there a quicker way to check if Word exists on the users machine?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Aloha,

James
