That sounds useful, although I've always operated under the assumption that the user would realize the last line displayed in the editbox was the current status message. (Remember SET TALK ON? <s> I scroll the box when the list gets longer than the display.) One advantage the editbox has over the listbox is when you have a message long enough that it has to wrap. Do you break up the messages in that case?
