What is typically done at a VFUG?
We have two sessions. The first begins at 5:30 and runs an hour. We are about to finish up "Intro to SQL Server". In the past we have done "Intro to VFP" and "VFP Certification Exam Prep". In March, we'll begin "Introduction to .Net".
Our general session begins at 6:30 and generally runs to 8:00 or 8:30. We do announcements and have a bugs/tips session where anyone can discuss bugs or tips they have. We then demo two or three classes from the FFC. Then, two main topics, about 30-45 minutes each.
>How is it typically organized?
Some groups are incorporated. Mine isn't. We're just a bunch of people getting together. I run the group, mainly because no one else wants to.
>What advantages does participation at a VFUG offer the members, esxpecially advantages not available at UT?
If you register we microsoft, you'll get a box every quarter that contains stuff you can give away.
>Is the term "Visual FoxPro User Group" anybodies trademark, or should we invent our own term (e.g.: "GPF", Spanish for "FoxPro Programmers' Group"!).
FoxPro is a trademark of Microsoft.
>Any other comments that might help a newbie!
