>First of all, why do you want general fields? Many users think they need general fields for graphics. A jpg-file takes up 20 times less space (store a reference to the JPG field in a short character field), and if it is graphics you want, there is no need whatsoever for a general field.

Hi,

It's for storing signatures (BMPs) for printing documents. We use generic cursors as data source for reports and I need to store the content of the selected general field into the corresponding general field of one of the generic cursors.
