I have MS SQL 2000 personal edition installed on my laptop. The laptop has 256 MB RAM and 10 GB disk space free on the driver I installed SQL. Data access on SQL is extremely slow. It takes more than 2 minutes to open a table with less than 10 records. Every time when I use SQL, the laptop does many disk operations (the middle indication light). The CPU usage is no more than 10% and I have WINDOWS 2000 and all latest service packs for both OS and SQL. Thanks.
