Thank you for your input, Daniel. It is obvious I am stabbing around in the dark here! Newbie !

I downloaded the file you suggested and am studying it now.
The problem I am faced with is that the 'reports' that VFP seems to build 'don't look like' what my company wants.. They want this output from this program to look more like an Excel spreadsheet. I don't know if VFP 'grids' would do the trick or not, I'm still experimenting.

But I'll definitely take the advice from you gurus, and polish my skills and knowledge by observing the way you guys solve problems.
