Hi Thomas

The specifics are:

Client- VFP 7.0 Windows 2000 SP2 128 mb ram on Dell Optiplex GX1.
Server- Windows 2000 Server 128mb ram on Dell PowerEdge 2300 Server.
The network cards are 3Com 10/100 running at 100mb using NetBui protocol with 8 port D-Link Fast Ethernet Switch.

The application exe was built using VFP 7.0. The class libraries are not included in the application but exist as external files. The Exe and data reside on the server.

>>I saw this happen the other day at a clients site. We simply restarted the application and everything was fine. There was no data loss or table corruption despite the fact the user was in the middle of entering an invoice.

>Frightening! You might post all the specifics that apply – OS on client and server, as well as the version of VFP that was used to create the exe and network type and version. Is the exe on the server or client?

>This reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons, which was in a S-100 magazine around 1982. In the background you see the planet Earth, and in the foreground a human and an alien are standing on the Moon. The alien asks the human, “Which keyboard combination did you say you hit”? :)
