Thanks for your suggestion. The 'web like' (3D, glowing text) buttons that Neil Tokin's suggested ActiveX control appears to generate are what I was looking for. I also own a copy of CodeMine so I will check out your suggestion as well.

>Don't know if it helps, but CodeMine framework has the label class with 3-D effects Raised, Accent, Light, Shadow, Inset, which looks really good. No Windows API used - just native VFP. But that will not work on buttons, unless you want to imitate the button with the container and label.
