For years I've seen a collection of Microsoft Forms controls displayed in my ActiveX selection dialog.

Does anyone know anything about these controls and whether or not they are redistributable or if they are part of another MS product (Office?) What is their home OCX file(s)?

I'm wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages to using the Microsoft Forms controls or their native VFP counterparts?

Here's my quick and dirty research ...

Advantages: Potential(?) support for XP themes (haven't verified this on an XP workstation), additional Event hooks (BeforePaste, BeforeDropOver)

Disadvantages: I just tried a little experiment and noticed that the Microsoft Form textboxes would block the Ctrl+F4 shortcut when they had focus. All other keystrokes seemed to work fine including the standard Edit (cut, copy, paste, etc) keys and Ctrl+F6. When I moved focus to a native VFP textbox, Ctrl+F4 was recognized. Another disappointment of the MS Form Textbox control is that Property Descriptions don't show up in the VFP property sheet.
