Make the height of the Sort3 Group Footer band 5" and the Report Writer will always check to see if at least 5" is left before printing it. Put the fields in the Group Footer as you want, marking the memo fields as Stretch with overflow. Now add a dummy field at the very bottom of the 5" Group Footer band. Make the expression "" and set it to Remove if blank and Print When .f.

Now when the report prints, it will suck up any extra room at the bottom of the 5" ... but ... it will assume the full 5" when it checks to see if there is enough room to print.
