But you will have to tell us a bit more. . .

1) what are you using to "search"?
2) Do you have any filters set?
3) what are you using to save (sounds like it could be INSERT (not INSERT-SQL)

However, this is not the problem because, for example, there is a simple screen that looks only at one table that has around 52,000 records.
