>Yes Steve .. I read it and I’m tired of it.. It’s a S.A..D story.. All what I need is to access some tables from VFP DB in my VBA project. Our MRP system is written in VFP ( no source code available ) . Only way to modify an existing form control is using VBA. I just need to add a combo box to an existing form and populate combo with VFP table data. They have given us a VBA interface to communicate with the database. Yes I used the ADO/ DSN less connection and managed to open the RS and it’s working !! but knowing the VFP provider is out there and I cannot use it just because I Don’t have VFP7 is sad. In my next VFP project I definitely want to buy VFP7. Right now I’m working with VBA and it doesn’t make any sense to me to tell my manager I need to purchase VFP7 just to add one control to a form...

If your database is not using the features of VFP7, you can use VFPODBC.DLL, the Visual FoxPro 6 ODBC driver rather than the VFP7 OLEDB driver to access an ADO recordset.
