Both languages are almost the same. From the team that developed www.ibuyspy.com at Microsoft, C# performance beats VB.Net by 1-2%.

In C# you can have unmanaged code, operator overloading, that cool XML auto-documentation (forget the name) that you don't have in VB.Net.

VB.Net has background compilation, not C#.
