Ftp through Firewall
I have a Foxpro procedure to automatically upload various files to the web via FTP. Recently our company installed a Fortress firewall, and I have been unable to use this procedure since. However, I have been able to use WSFTP_LE to manually transfer these files. This is unacceptable in the longer term, and I'm looking for a solution to this.
Further to this problem, we are in the process of changing ISPs as part of a shift from dialup modem to ISDN. We currently have both the old and the new ISPs active. What is stange is that we can upload large binary files (8 mb) on the old ISP, however we timeout EVERY TIME at 303 secs on the new ISP. If we bypass the firewall, we have no problems, however we do not have to do this for the old ISP. We're using identical software settings for both transfers, and the transfer is set to passive. The new ISP has confirmed that their FTP server configuration is OK.
The firewall is configured to allow all type of traffic (mail, FTP, HTTP, SSL).
Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve these two problems?
