Well, guess what, I have the same thing on my laptop as well.
First I tried to install directly. After having confirmed the license agreement, a little while later, it asks for the CD. Even by putting in it doesn't change anything. On that one, I tried to install directly without installation Windows Installer 2.
So, I installed Windows Installer 2. I rebooted. Then, I tried again. On that one, it prompts right away to proceed with the install and agree with the license agreement. But, a little while later, it says "Insert CD". So, I put VFP 7 CD in. I then had "Internal Error 2203: E:\vfp70sp1.msp,-2147287038.
So, on two PCs, it failed. On those two, I had two different reactions.
This is getting ridiculous.
