We had a similar problem with VSS - Codewrite appeared to be the culprit. CW does version control interfacing and it appeared in VFP as the provider. VSS did not. We are also using SourceOffSite (SOS). We uninstalled both SOS and VSS and on reinstallation, Codewrite no longer showed as the VFP source control provider - instead SOS and VSS were properly listed.

So, I guess my question is: Do you have something else masquerading as a source control provider which is sticking its oar in?

Whatever, the VFP analysis of who or what is a source control provider does seem a little flaky.
