Hi,
I have a project that involve 40 site in a same building. All of them have their own management. It can be said as individual party. However, they are member under same society. The top management ppls wan to have report about their members' sales, and etc.
I am trying to design a solution that can solve it faster and easier. I have a idea that:

1. Every member will have own set of database in their own pc.
2. These database is not linked even in a same LAN network.
3. Once top management ppls want to see report, then all members are required to run a small program the copy the entire database from their pc to a main server. Then they can continue their own business.
4. All of these database will be stored in different folder. The folder will be named differentiate by members' outlet code.

However, I am not sure on the following step.
1. Should I dump all of the data from these database into a single database before running any report generation, or

2. I should loop up all of the folders, open database, use tables, SQL, store result in a temp cursor, close database and then next folder again?

Which solution do you think is better?

Or, do you have any other ideas?
