SET DIRECTORY is listed as supported Dbase IV command at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/foxhelp98/consupported_dbase_iv_commands_and_functions.asp and is the same as SET DEFAULT. I wouldn't recomend to use it because it's not in the help file and could confuse somebody trying to read your code in the future.
